Hi everyone! Just wanted to share the latest and send a reminder about the SPACENITE tribute show. I've received a few pieces already and they're looking great. The list of artists is really impressive and I'm still looking for more if you have any friends that would like to draw a ROM let em know. Again we've got a great variety of comics artists, indie and mainstream, as well as illustrators, graphic designers, animators, and gallery artists providing their unique interpretations of the character.

SPACENITE 2 - ROM ART SHOW & BOOK RELEASE PARTY
A Tribute to Bill Mantlo
We're accepting original artwork, or just a hi-res file (11 x 17 inches, at least 300dpi, cmyk, pdf, tiff or jpeg) and we'll make poster prints for the show.
There's two DEADLINES, one to be included in the book: Monday, September 7th
and one for the show: Monday, November 9th
The opening will be December 3rd, 2009.
First of all the deadline for the book is gonna be flexible. My goal is to have all the files ready and formatted in indesign by October 1st. Also I'm considering the possibility of doing the show in January or February just to give everyone more time and so I won't feel quite as rushed. If I hear back from enough of you that you'd like more time I'll probably do that. If you were already on track to meet the Sept. 7th deadline go for it! I'm read to handle some late submissions, but it makes it tougher it the majority of them are late.
Also I'm including in this email artists who contributed to the first show in 2007. Let me know if for whatever reason you do not want your piece considered for inclusion in the tribute book. Everyone who is chosen to be in the book will get a free copy. Also if you were in the first show and you would like to do a new piece for this year's show that would be great!
The best part about doing these shows is connecting with ROM fans all over the world. I hear similar stories all the time, so many of us read ROM or other Bill Mantlo comics when we were kids. I had no idea the influence was so widespread! Many of you have shared short testimonials in your emails, regarding your history with ROM or Bill Mantlo's work. I think it would be great to include these sentiments in the book as well, as a dedication to Bill Mantlo, and the fantastic stories he shared with us.
Best,
Jason
