People the world over are hungry for peace. If peace is what people want, why not educate them about how to get it?
The Carlisle Peace College stands as part of a global movement of peacemakers engaged in nonviolent direct action to end oppression and promote social, economic and environmental justice. We advocate:
Non-violent approaches to conflict resolution.
The rule of law in resolving disputes.
Local to global economic justice.
Public awareness of responsibility for official violence.
Community involvement in public policy.
Policies for disarmament and decreasing military spending.
The establishment of a US Department of Peace.
