Greetings and Good Fortune to All,
My name is Rhiannon O'Keith and I am one of the co-autocrats for the
Bellewode, Heraldic, Scribal and Dance Symposium to be held on Saturday
February 9th. Though the symposium is fast approaching, we are still
taking anyone who would like to teach a class at the symposium. We will
have a ball as usual after the day of classes, and if you are teaching a
class and would like to make sure that something you are teaching appears
in the ball, I would be more than happy to put it in there. I will also
be happy to answer any questions.
Yours in Service,
Rhiannon O'Keith

Is there a website for this event? I am confused only because this was
posted to the Kingdom of Calontir FB page as a "mini war manuevers" and
this event is not listed on the Calontir.org Events page. I want to make
sure I am posting the correct information to the G+ community for Calontir.
In service,
Lady Nike

Hello Lady Nike,
Sorry for the confusion. I had not seen the latest post on the Kingdom
facebook page until just now. We will be hosting fighter practice at the
event in addition to the regular classes and balls.
http://www.facebook.com/events/526718234016951/?fref=ts This is the link
to the facebook event for the symposium. Thank you for putting it out on
G+ as well.

Lady Rhiannon O'Keith

Hello all.
I have gotten a request to offer something at KWDMS that I had at a dance
event a couple of years ago. Are others interested? Here it is -
So you think you can dance? The goal here is to encourage new research of
period (pre 1600) dance. Prepare with a partner ( if appropriate), provide
documentation and perform in competition. This is not intended to be a
teaching opportunity but to show something cool that reflects the whole
package of period dance.
The discussion can now commence

I believe this comes from our guru, Master Avatar Catspray. Good info about
what we do in the SCA with music for various events.
Enjoy!
HL Brighid O'Mahuna, Shire of Flinthyll
Well that certainly sounds like him! Especially his opinions on the music
pit. :) Thanks for posting it Brighid.

(please forgive me for cross-posting this on the Calontir List serve - I want to
reach everyone who may be interested!)
Hello, Populace of Calontir,
I am hosting a group of musicians to try to create authentic Middle Eastern
ensemble music at Lilies. Although I will have outlines of some tunes, this
will be a traditional ensemble where improvisation will take place. To achieve
a more authentic sound, I will need drums and percussion, plucked strings, as
well as melody instruments like violins and recorders. The class is listed in
the RUSH schedule, in the Grand Pavillion, at 11:00-12:00 on Wednesday,
2:00-3:00 on Thursday, and 11:00-12:00 on Friday. I welcome anyone to take
part, who can read music, play an instrument, and who feels comfortable with
this traditional music.
Thanks!
HL Brighid O'Mahuna
