Greetings One and All,


    To celebrate the Holidays, and another enjoyable year of  dancing together,
we are having a party. Period garb is encouraged but not required. Anything
festive is good. There will be goodies and treats for all. Off course bringing
your personal favorite to share is welcome. I hope to see everyone on Tuesday
the 22nd at 7:00pm. If you have never been to one of are practices this would be
a fine time to try it out. We practice at the Friends Meeting House located at
125 West Sickle Street in Kennett Square. The entrance to the parking lot and
basement where we will be dancing is
off of Rt 82 on the left, right after West Sickle Street. It is a large stone
building.
It is a laid back practice with the focus on typical SCA dances. Some 18th
century
dances are added the last half hour. It's an enjoyable evening worth the trip.

A reminder:  the Business Meeting will be Thursday 10 December, 7:00 p.m. at the
Corbit-Calloway Library in Odessa.  It is a light agenda, but Letters of Intent
will be accepted.  Can't make it?  Not a problem.  Letters will be accepted
until the January Business Meeting.  Check the November meeting minutes on the
website, or the By-Laws (also on the website) for specifics.

Take your best way to Route 422.  From King of Prussia and East of Limerick, take Route 422 West.  From Pottstown and West of Limerick, take Route 422 East.  Exit Route 422 at the Limerick / Linfield Exit.  At Lewis Road (end of the ramp), you will turn AWAY from the Wawa (if you were traveling West, this is a right turn, if you were traveling East, this is a left turn.  Stay on Lewis Road, following the sign to Limerick. Lewis Rd. will come to a “T” at Ridge (stop sign). Turn Right, proceed 1/4 mile to traffic light at Swamp Pike (the Limerick Diner will be on your right).  Turn Left onto Swamp Pike.  Follow Swamp Pike approx. 2 miles.

Just past the Fruitville store turn Right onto Stienmetz Rd..  Follow Stienmetz to the second road on your Right. Turn Right onto BRAGG RD. We are just 200 yards on your left.  Watch carefully, Bragg Road is narrow and can be a bit dark. If the gate is still down (or if it's up but we're not there), we’ll be there shortly

Hello all!

     Just a reminder that there will be a raffle of the prizes won at
the Newark Halloween Parade for the benefit of the Royal Travel Fund
at tomorrow's business meeting.  While I won't be there myself (bloody
work schedule!) Hedewigis has the items and will be holding the raffle
in my stead.

     Tickets are $2 a ticket, or 3 for $5.  The prizes are listed in an
earlier e-mail to the list, but a quick recap: there are 2 prizes -
first, a $10 gift certificate from the Newark Co-op and second is a
free facial and massage from Trilogy Day Spa.  Support the travel
fund!

    Have a great meeting and I'll see you all at the meeting in December!

I hope everyone is managing to stay warm and dry.  The warm days of the last few
weeks have given way to some raw weather indeed.  There are those among us who
are wishing this could be snow, but, alas...

The November Business Meeting will be held next Tuesday, 17 November 2009 at the
Dover Public Library (7:00 p.m.).  As always, all are welcome to attend;
membership in the SCA is not a requirement.  Please not that this is a
non-garbed (modern clothing) activity.

In addition to holding the vote for interim Exchequer, this meeting will be the
first call for Letters of Intent for the positions of Seneschal, Chatelaine,
Minister of Arts and Sciences, and Captain of Archers.  Please see the By-Laws
