Welcome! This group is for the discussion of all aspects of the C&O Railway from the days of the Louisa Railroad until the sun set on the Chessie System in 1986. All discussions concerning the C&O, the PM, HV, Chessie System, and related railroads are welcome (including forays into the B&O, WM, N&W, VGN, CSXT, and Amtrak). We encourage the exchange of information on modeling, current and past railfanning, preservation, historical society events, museum efforts and private items for sale. We'd like to make this a clearinghouse for "all things C&O."

We'd also like to make you aware of a few rules for this forum. 1) be nice 2) no spam of any kind 3) sign your posts with your name(this keeps the trolls away). 4) Stay on topic and please no ventures in politics.

Spammers will get the boot after the first offence. Announcing ebay items to the forum is also considered such. There is a For Sale application for items you wish to sell or announce, please use it. Thanks for your understanding in these matters. In the end it will make this a fun and educational forum.
