The Chester County Coalition for Voting Integrity is a non-partisan organization dedicated to ensuring the integrity of our voting process in Chester County. We advocate for the selection of voting systems that include a voter verified paper ballot as the official ballot. We support voting systems in which balloting is secret, votes are accurately recorded and counted as verified by the voter and equitable, one vote per person. We advocate against the purchase of direct recording equipment (DRE) or other software-dependent systems without a voter-verified paper ballot. We advocate against the purchase of any system that is unduly susceptible to tampering and other fraud. We seek to preserve the vitality of our democracy by ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in which every vote counts and every vote is counted. We seek to ensure that the casting of ballots is secret but the counting of ballots is transparent and open to public scrutiny. We are working in partnership with other grassroots organizations to influence the selection of voting systems that guarantee citizens their constitutional right to vote but do not compromise the public's trust in the voting process.
