Welcome to Crazy Quilting for Newbies!

Here you will learn the basics of putting a block together, learn seam embellishments, seam treatments, encouragement, tips and everything else to make your Crazy Quilting journey a fun, safe, place to express yourself.

Here you can get involved in "safe" swaps, Round Robins, with others that are learning too, without the fear of "not knowing enough".

We encourage you to ask any and all questions, and share your work. And always remember no question is a stupid question. We have all started somewhere, and it is a process of ongoing learning.

There are very few requirements here at CQ for Newbies, but some that we will strictly adhere to, is that there is to be no criticism of each other's work (only kudos). Mean spirited, rudeness, and/or any other terms which will hurt another are STRICTLY not allowed.

The beautiful block pictured is done by Cathy L. It was the winner in our "Celebrate Life" challenge, which consisted of learning a new stitch each week and incorporating them into a block. The list members voted on the final blocks and Cathy's block was chosen to be displayed on the main page.
