Welcome to Crazy Quilting for Newbies!
Here you will learn the basics of putting a block together, learn seam embellishments, seam treatments, encouragement, tips and everything else to make your Crazy Quilting journey a fun, safe, place to express yourself.
Here you can get involved in "safe" swaps, Round Robins, with others that are learning too, without the fear of "not knowing enough".
We encourage you to ask any and all questions, and share your work. And always remember no question is a stupid question. We have all started somewhere, and it is a process of ongoing learning.
There are very few requirements here at CQ for Newbies, but some that we will strictly adhere to, is that there is to be no rude criticism of each other's work. Flaming, rudeness, and/or any other terms which will hurt another are STRICTLY not allowed.

So, come on in and join us!!
We have declared 2013 as The Year of Embroidery. Join us as we practice and perfect our embroidery skills on all of our crazy quilt projects.
The pictured block is from our Color Study round robin series. A color is selected and then all piecing, stitching and embellishing are done in that one color only. It's not only a study in color, but also of texture. This beautiful block is Beryl's block, worked on by several members of CQForNewbies, Donna D., Cathy L., Ruby and Denise. Great job ladies!
