This is a focused list for those wishing to learn more about the Charlotte Mason method of education by reading her own books and Parents Review articles, and engaging in discussions of a philosophical nature. We welcome anyone who would like to dig deeper with us into the writings of CM, and who enjoys lively discussions.

Members are expected and required to be actively reading and challenging themselves to understand the philosophy behind the CM method. Without that understanding, one cannot be benefitting from all of CM's ideas. Inactive members may be culled.

THIS IS NOT A GENERAL HOMESCHOOLING LIST or even a general CM list. If you have questions about the practical application of implementing the CM method, pleaase ask those questions on a more general CM list, such as cmason.

Members do not need to own CM's Original Home Schooling Series, as chapters for discussion are online here.
A paraphrase in Modern English is also available, as well as summaries of each book.

Weekly topics will be generated from portions of her books and/or Parents Review articles with much member participation encouraged. Posts must be relevant to the group's goal of understanding the philosophy of CM. New members are moderated, and members whose purpose is more general than our focus may be culled.
