The purpose of this group is to discuss, design and develop workable engine shutoffs for the F2D combat category of Model Aircraft. All shutoffs must meet the requirements of the current F2d combat rules as published by the FAI. It is recognized that there are more than a few excellent solutions to the problem of engine shutoffs for F2d. The purpose of this forum is not to mandate or endorse any specific shutoff or mechanism but rather to serve as a forum where quantifiable engineering and technical methods can be applied and the results documented so that individual modelers can chose the shutoff method that meets their particular performance and financial constraints.
