Description

Christian Homeschoolers of Calvert County, CHOCC, is an information network and support group for home educators based in Calvert County, Maryland. The purpose of the group is to help local Christian homeschoolers effectively connect with one another in order to offer support, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement as we seek to educate and raise our children to follow the Lord. Any member may send homeschool-related e-mails and organize field trips or other activities.

There is no cost to join and no obligation to participate in anything. If you live in Calvert County, or just over the border in the very southern-most part of Anne Arundel County(south of Edgewood), or fellowship in a church or homeschool co-op here, we would love for you to join us!

Just click the "Join This Group" button above and send us a brief message letting us know your name, where you live, if you are or will be a homeschooler. You will then be automatically sent our Statement of Faith. If you agree with our Statement of Faith, please send us an email letting us know. Thanks for considering CHOCC! We hope to hear from you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sometimes we have trouble contacting prospective members for various reasons. Sometimes, they apply using a seldom used yahoo email account that they then forget to check! Also, occasionally when people set up their yahoo account, they inadvertantly leave off their email's domain name (such as: Verizon.net, Comcast.net, AOL.com, etc) under "yahoo ID", and yahoo will incorrectly assume it is a yahoo account by default. (You do not need to have a yahoo email account to join a yahoo group.) And, of course, our email might have ended up in someone's junk-mail folder! If you have applied for membership and haven't heard from us, please check to see if any of these reasons could be the problem. We never ignore anyone's request for membership. We appreciate your time and interest. Thanks so much.
