From Rhapsody, although things seemed to go pretty well tonight, the results didn't show that way. We were originally going to use the #1 Genoa but decided to switch to the #3 just before the start (good call!). We used the old Quantum main and it is shaped much better than the old North main last week. Boat speed was good after the mast was centered and the rig was tuned this weekend. I blew the last two minutes driving and gave the lead to Epiphany who we were neck & neck most of the race.
There was a little issue with Open 5.2 Sluff on the downwind leg. He was on stbd with his Asym kite. We were on port and just don't have the time to maneuver as quickly as the sports boats not in our class. It appears that Sluff didn't sail the proper race course because the result shows he did not finish.
I brought home a wet spinnaker to dry out. The #1 and #3 Genoa both need to be dried out as soon as the weather allows.
