The CGNA began as the First Place TriBlock Association, founded by Mrs. Connie Gibbons in 1991. Neighbors brought issues for public discussion to meetings, which were held at the Scotto Funeral Home. The CGNA continues in this tradition,providing a forum for discussion of quality of life issues in Carroll Gardens.
The CGNA meets at the Hannah Senesh Community Day School, 342 Smith St (1st & 2nd Pl)on the second Monday of each month from 7:00PM til 9:00PM.
The 2009-2010 calendar: Sept.14, Oct.19*, Nov. 9, Dec. 21*,2009.
Jan. 11, Feb. 8, Mar.15*, Apr. 12, May 10,June 14, 2010.

About the Yahoo group:
This is a moderated group, staffed by experienced moderators,residents of Carroll Gardens who volunteer their services. When you subscribe to the CGNA Yahoo group you specifically agree to the rules and guidelines as noted below:
1. Membership in this group is open, subject to verification of each new subscriber's identity and residence address to protect against spam intruders.
2. It is moderator's job to keep the information relevant to Carroll Gardens and to make sure the messages are as clear concise as possible. The moderator will scan for extraneous internet ads, long replies with other posts attached and clarity. The moderator does not edit the content of the post. The moderator will return any post that contains inappropriate messages in tone or content before it is posted and ask the writer to re-frame it so it can be posted. No vulgarity or profane language permitted. A warning will be issued; however, repeated abuses will result in the member getting banned from the group. The moderator is here to protect everyone's right to be heard in a civil, responsible manner.
