Hi Vondale,
Welcome to the family. Normally I don’t get involved in this HIV group since I am not HIV+. I’m only the admin, but I need to comment on your statement that
“I take the stance of believing that homosexuality in practice is sinful”
I’m not here to try to change your mind about anything, but if you want to investigate the possibility that perhaps homosexuality as an orientation is NOT sinful, and that a monogamous, loving relationship between two people of the same gender can be as valued in God’s eyes as a monogamous, loving relationship between two people of opposite gender, then I recommend that you might read some of the articles from the Education link at http://christiangay s.com/education. shtml to get a different perspective.
Also, this list does not seem to be very active. I wish it were, but it just has never seemed to take off. Perhaps you can help to get it going, but if you would like to be involved in a more active group in the meantime, please consider joining our Social Group list serve which is for everyone who wishes to join – gay, straight, HIV+ or -, Christian, pagan, etc. We range in age from 13 to 93 and there are over 500 of us on the list, however only about 30 or 40 people write on a regular basis.
If this sounds interesting to you, please visit the “Join Our Family” page at http://christiangay s.com/subscribe. shtml Scroll down to “Social Group” and click on the link to go through the subscription process.
God bless,
Mary
Hi guys. I dont know much about the group or its purpose. I assume it simply to share our stories and give one another support as brothers in Christ Jesus. I've "officially" been Christian since Dec. of 1985. But I think deep in my heart I've always believed in Jesus as Lord.
I found out my HIV status in June of 1986. But thank the Lord I have remained healthy and no not take meds.
I take the stance of believing that homosexuality in practice is sinful and have chosen to be celibate. Of course it's only in Christ that this is possible. Hopefully I will meet some nice guys wishing to share love and kindness with one another. God bless you all. Feel free to email me at von_monett@yahoo. com <mailto:von_monett% 40yahoo.com>
