We are a group of Southern California activists who have come together to further peace with justice in the Middle East. To that end, we have joined a Palestine-initiated campaign (BDS) to impose on Israel broad boycotts, and to implement divestments and sanctions similar to those applied to South Africa during the apartheid era.

These non-violent punitive measures should be maintained until Israel recognizes the Palestinian people's inalienable right to self-determination and until it fully complies with international law by:
1. Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands;
2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality and abolishing all laws to the contrary; and
3. Respecting and protecting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.
4. Establishment of a single, secular, pluralistic and democratic state with laws based on citizenship, not ethnicity or religion, in the whole region of historic Palestine, with full political and civil rights for all.

We call upon people of conscience to join us in a campaign to impose embargoes and sanctions against Israel within our community.
