Lindblom is a member of the Chicago Debate League (CDL), the flagship and largest league of the National Association of Urban Debate Leagues (NAUDL). As one of the original five schools to become a participating member in the inaugural season, 1997-1998, Lindblom celebrates the 10th year anniversary of the CDL.

Lindblom has a solid history with its past teams, being conference tournament and city champions or finalists, as well as top-ranking individual speaker awards and special distinction for coaching and debating. Lindblom had accomplished much in the 2005-06 season, with awards and distinction prominently given to the members of team Lindblom AD, Akeem Forbes and Daeshon Cora.

Lindblom is in the AA Conference, and will be its host of te first-ever CDL Conference Championship in mid-February. This is Lindblom's eighth season--hence, Convocation VIII.

CONVOCATION VII: Latasha Clark and Janice Thomas-Price are the Co-Coaches for Lindblom.

Sat., Mar. 10th: Final Saturday Seminar for students 9am – 12pm @ Roosevelt U., 430 S. Michigan Ave.

TOURNAMENT I RESULTS (Season Opener @ Phoenix):

TEAM:
Lindblom JJ (Jessica Maritnez, Jinger Sanders) were FINALISTS in the JV division, placing 2ND in the Final JV Exhibition Round.

SPEAKER:
Sanders ranked 1ST PLACE, and Martinez 2ND PLACE in the Top 10 JV Individual Speakers.


2006 CITY CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS:

FINALS: AAA Conference Junior Varsity 2nd Place

SPEAKER:
Forbes ranked 4TH speaker in JV; Cora 14TH.

Ranked 6TH in AAA Conference in Speaker Medal Count.
