The Community Coalition for Education Options (CCEO) is a group of parents/families, teachers, professionals and others concerned with keeping the full spectrum of educational options open to children with special needs.

· The CCEO believes that the Individual Education Plan (IEP) should remain the driving force in determining the placement of each individual student.
· We support inclusion when it serves the educational and social needs of that individual child.
· We support a continuum of educational options for students whose needs cannot be met within the general education classroom.
· The Vision of CCEO is for all students to have access to a quality education, which will enable them to develop to their potential and be embraced as valued, contributing members of their communities.
· This Vision is supported by our mission to advocate for a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and a continuum of placement options and related services for all children with special needs as mandated by IDEA '97.
