The CCARG is having a Technician Class starting Tuesday August 27 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Jefferson Parish East Bank Main Library located at 4747 West Napoleon Ave.Metairie Louisiana. For more information contact Joe at 504-288-7084

C.C.A.R.G. Picnic... Come Join The Fun....
The C.C.A.R.G. Picnic will be on Saturday May 18,2013 at Mike Miley Play ground near David Dr. and W.Metairie Ave. The Picnic will start at 10:30 AM. We will barbecue and have refreshments. Peter KC5WIP will cook for us. Some of the items on the menu are Hamburgers,Hot Dogs, Chicken, Sausage, Bake Beans and much mmore, The food is FREE.Talk in will be 146.82 repeater.Come join us and meet some of the fellow Hams that talk on the radio.WE DO ASK IF POSSIBLE PLEASE BRING A LITTLE DISH.

Monday Nights the Tangipahoa/South East Louisiana Amateur Club ARES Net at 8:30 PM on 146.82/444.775 repeater in New Orleans.Their will be Hammond,Baton Rouge, Thiboduax and New Orleans repeaters link together.. REMEMBER IN NEW ORLEANS OR THIBODUAX TO WAIT 3 SECONDS BEFORE KEYING UP

50.150 would be upper sideband (USB). I have not checked into the net. I do not currently have a 6 meter antenna, but hope to get one up this summer. Matt K5UQ

Thursdays at 9:00pm is the Gulf Coast 6 meter net on 50.150. I don't know of any repeaters. Matt K5UQ
