CAVNET-IW (Indigenous Women)

This is a group of professionals and volunteer advocates addressing
intimate violence, including domestic violence, sexual violence, and
stalking against American Indian, Alaska Native, First Nations and other
indigenous women.

GOALS OF THIS EMAIL GROUP:

* Stay in touch with other advocates and professionals working in
Indian country and/or with indigenous women. Work against the isolation
that is so prevalent in our work.
* Share ideas and resources on how to help empower Indigenous women who
are victimized by violence
* Stay up to date on trainings and conferences.
* Learn about recent case law that affects the legal rights of
indigenous women who are victimized.
* Discuss ways that services and advocacy for women survivors can be
designed to address the cultural and spiritual needs of indigenous women.
