CASA ~'house' in Spanish~ stands for Christians Against Substance Addiction! We are a progressive Christian recovery group whose primary purpose is spiritual liberty from the evils of drug addiction.
Three Key Elements for our daily sobriety, continued recovery and spiritual liberty are:1. Practicing the CASA 12-Steps Program based upon the original A.A. 12-Steps Program;
2. Building up a strong recovery support network and;
3. Getting involved in progressive community action.
Drug addiction is a worldwide problem that impacts on all of society. Progressive recovery is part of the wholistic solution!
We help people get into recovery, combat drug addiction and strive to help create a truly humane democratic society where we can all live in safety, sanity and serenity!

Around 1996, CASA began at the Salvation Army Emergency Shelter at 1200 North B Street in Sacramento, California. We hold open Sunday CASA Meetings @7:00 PM. We remember our recovery roots, fight to end the vicious cycle of chronic homelessness because of drug addiction and address other core life issues. As the Serenity Prayer says ~ we must have the courage and wisdom to change the things we can!
