Description

Guadalupe County ARES is a part of Chaparral Amateur Radio Club whos members is a dedicated group of radio operators with the primary purpose to assist Guadalupe County Emergency Manager in all emergency at his request. Guadalupe County ARES is open to all amateur radio operators. All members are expected to be call upon to operate as an emergency net control station during an emergency on VHF and HF nets, help in shelter operations, and be able to deploy if neccessary with mobile packet communications capabilities to accomplish the mission.
