This group was formed primarily as a resource during wildfires and other emergencies--to help keep those who don't happen to be on the mountain informed of changing conditions and to provide assistance if necessary.

Many residents work "down the hill" during the day and are concerned about getting pets to a safe area should the need arise due to a wildfire. I hope we can form a network of those willing to help evacuate animals--and help in other ways--if need be.

If dry conditions continue into the summer, the need for a virtual gathering place such as this won't end with the Snaking Road Gulch fire.
