We are a group of Buddhist Chaplains who desire to create a central clearinghouse of spiritual care information. We will focus on, at the least, creating a web presence with resources and there are some who wish to develop a more formal structure. Some of our areas of interest are:
* Hospital and hospices.
* Prisons, jails and larger criminal justice system.
* Certification, CPE, a guide through the equivalencies, and endorsements.
* Volunteer Chaplaincy. *Sangha chaplaincy.
* Serving the many different Buddhist ethnic groups and traditions.
* Forums and resources on Buddhist rituals for birth, marriage, illness, death, and memorial services.
* Developing connections with like-minded people- we don't need to do this alone
please join us if you have interests similar to this.

Our guidelines for Right Writing are based on the Buddha's teachings on Right Speech: Right Speech is abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter. A well spoken statement has five factors: it is timely, truthful, affectionate(is it gentle or harsh?), beneficial(useful?) and it is spoken with a mind of good will (is it spoken with a kind heart or inwardly malicious)
