Welcome to Bucks Co. Birders. This group is for people at all levels of interest in the enjoyment of watching and learning about wild birds. The full scope of this group will evolve over time.

The focus of the group is:
1. The weekly Peace Valley Park sightings report. Weekly reports from other local hot spots are encouraged and volunteers are solicited for that purpose.
2. Reports of accidental, rare, or occasional species in the area-Include your name and all information pertinent to the observation and detailed directions if you are providing them.
3. Bucks Co. Birders Club announcements.
4. Posts with links to your website for photo albums of high quality photos are welcome, but should be limited in frequency. Videos should be of high quality and only of rare or unusual species. Also, videos of exceptional or unusual bird behavior or activity that might appeal to most of the group can be included. You can also ask for your link to be added to the Links section of our group for members to access anytime.
5. For questions about bird ID and behavior, please direct those to the list owner ONLY, NOT the whole group.

Contact the List Owner first if you want to deviate from the above focus. The list will not be moderated except for keeping the content close to the guidelines described above.

Guidelines for a suggested list of species to report can be found in the Files section of this group. Also, any species not currently on the state or county list should be reported. The Files section has a file listing the Bucks Co. species list, and a link to the PA State List is provided in the Links section.

NOTE: No one should report any species where providing access to the individual(s) would in your opinion cause disturbance likely to cause serious harm. Habitat damage and private property concerns must also be considered.
