I wanted to be sure everyone knew about the upcoming Sticks N'
Stitches event coming up at the end of the month. It's a fun time to
get together with fellow knitters and crocheters to watch some hockey
and help out a good cause. Here's the details:

Colorado Avalanche VS Anaheim Ducks
Jan 31st , 1 p.m. @ Pepsi Center
Tickets: $27 includes hot dog , soda, $5 ESPN Zone Game card.

We are sponsoring a local charity this time - Kaps for Kendall - so
folks can bring a knitted or crocheted hat to the game. Some of the
hat patterns are pretty simple and quick so I'm working on prizes for
the knitters/crocheters who can complete a hat by the end of the game.
I'll also have some raffle drawings during each intermission.

If you're a LYS owner/manager (or an indie dyer, spinner, etc) who
would like to donate anything for the raffle, provide info about your
shop, send some coupons, or supply any other giveaways let me know!

make most Thursday nights after 4:30pm, most Monday nights, occasional
weekends. Why not pick three different nights, have us RSVP, then pick
the date that works for the most people?

P.S.  Kayla, I'm not saying that you are absurd for wanting a permit!
That sounded weird after I read it.  I meant that I think it's absurd
that the city would want us to have a permit for getting together and
knitting.

out permits.  I was told last year that there were going to be some
changes for the permits this year, and that we might need to pay a fee,
and also I don't know who handles them now.  If you're just wanting to
get together and knit, I find it absurd that we would need a permit for
that!  But if you really want to pursue it, I'd check with the Boulder
Parks and Rec.
I'd love to see your custom spinning wheel!  Sounds like a cool thing!

As for a last get-together, well I haven't had much of a response, so
we'll need to come up with some other idea for the money we have in the
treasury.  Or maybe we can wait till summer and then have a blow-out
get together???

Though I have not been able to participate in the last 3 months, I did
enjoy coming to the meetings.  I will be sorry to see the group close
but I do understand that lives do get really busy.  Thank you to
everyone for sharing all of your knowledge.  I do have most of you as
friends in ravelry so I hope we can stay in touch that way, otherwise.
Thank you Emily and Diane for heading this project for maintaining the

i agree that we should do something fun with the money. and if we do
