Boston-Area Psychologists for Peace & Justice (BosPsyP&J) offers psychologists in and around Boston, Massachusetts a means of communicating in the aftermath of the US response to the tragic September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Rejecting actions that ignore historical and cultural context and psychological knowledge, we believe that the US response is likely to complicate efforts to end terrorism and war. We are particularly concerned with statements by mainstream psychology organizations that accept uncritically official US definitions of the problem.
