Paradise Lost
There was once for a time
Sunshine even in the rain
And comfort for my pain
Dissent has blasted the top
From that kind mountain
And cast it below into the cove
Where I used to linger
No calm waters will it contain any longer
It is all taken away now... gone
And I am as one lost with no home
The trees all stand barren and stark
For the mountain top is cold and dark
And the wind whistles... lonely
Singing mournfully to me
Through the hole left in my heart
Where Eden has ceased to be
