Description

Beltane in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia...who could want more? Come join us in the oldest running Beltane festival in Virginia: May 11-13, 2012.

UPDATE: based on feedback from the past few years, we left the campground we were at and found one with better amenities (including lots of flush toilets and hot showers!).
Please use this group to talk about upcoming and past Blue Ridge Beltanes as well as connect with fellow festival goers. However, please note that this is not a general announcement group and generic posts may not be approved. If you live in Central VA please post announcements to centralvapagans@yahoogroups.com. Thanks for helping keep the traffic flow low!!!!

BLUE RIDGE BELTANE
(Now in our second decade of merriment)

Our Mission:
“Providing a spiritual space for pagan community to rekindle their fires”

Who Are We:
We hope to register as a religious education non-profit dedicated to creating an annual Beltane Festival and potentially other pagan oriented events each year. We are completely volunteer driven and anyone with planning experience, a strong back, a creative mind and/or a good heart are welcome to sign up in any capacity they can take. We work by collaboration in an atmosphere that is non-hierarchical. We believe that paganism, in all its various forms, is a valid spiritual path to finding the divine and seek to create a strong and thriving pagan community.

We Are Dedicated To:
• Family friendly and adult friendly events
• Celebration of pan-pagan beliefs and styles of worship
• Having local presenters versus Big Name Pagans (BNP)
• Keeping events as affordable as possible for the entire range of pagan folk
• Embracing an earth friendly position and encouraging water conservation, recycling, reusable eating utensils, etc.

Blue Ridge Beltane welcomes all pagans and pagan friendly folks from all paths and traditions! MERRY MEET
