Hi everybody,

We've reached the end of 2011, and on this, the last day of the year, it is
traditional that we pause for a moment amongst all the festivities to remember
those we have lost during the past 12 months.

Shannon Lindsay, one of our most long-standing and enthusiastic members, died on
the 25th June this year.

Shannon contributed so much to this group. Her encyclopaedic knowledge of the
Biggles canon was second to none and she was always one of our most eager
participants in any group discussion. Shannon was also a good friend to many of
us. Some of you were lucky enough to know her personally, although I regret that
I never had the privelege of meeting her myself. Her loss was a tragedy, not
only for her family, friends, and for us as a group, but also for the whole
Biggles community world-wide. Here in our Yahoo Biggles group, Shannon will
always be very fondly remembered and deeply, sadly missed.
