This group was formed for the purpose of learning and teaching self sufficiency gardening/farming for residents of the "Big Island" of Hawai'i.

Our sole purpose is to join together and help each other develop some level of essential food production in our own yards and farms helping the island to become more sustainable and self-sufficient and less dependent of outside sources.

Members are also encouraged to post information that is on topic if they feel it will be pertinent to the premises of this group. Sharing of our knowledge, including problems we encounter and the solutions to them are very much encouraged.
