The worldwide Freecycle Network™ is a grassroots movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is run by volunteer moderators (them's good people).
The BeverlyMA Freecycle™ group is open to all in Beverly and surrounding communities who would rather recycle something than throw it away. Let's reduce, reuse and recycle - making our environmental footprint smaller and keeping things out of the landfill, while helping our neighbors!
One main rule: everything posted must be free. Outside of that, be courteous, post often, and have fun!
Brief guidelines (complete guidelines can be found in the Files section of the group):
Keep it free, legal, and rated G.
Be descriptive in your subject lines:
OFFER: doohickey(Your General Location)
TAKEN: whatsits
WANTED: thingamajig (Your General Location)
RECEIVED: thingamajig
ADMIN: Used (sparingly) by moderators to share important information with the group
Also, consider joining our companion cafe group, North Shore Cafe. It's a little different than the main group - it's a place for members to hang out and chat, as well as barter, trade and look for advice.
This group is part of The Freecycle Network™, a nonprofit organization and a movement of people interested in keeping good stuff out of landfills. Check out Freecycle.org for other cities and info on the movement! E-mail BeverlyMAfreecycle-owner@yahoogroups.com with any questions or improvement ideas - and thanks for being a part of Freecycle™!
