members are invited to attend. It is your responsibility to ensure that the hosting club wants this information to be distributed to BYC members before sending this sort of post to the list.
*Announcements about charitable events directly related to boating (e.g. fundraisers for youth or community boating organizations)
*Time-sensitive personal notices about BYC members/employees or other people in the boating community (e.g. births, deaths, serious illnesses or accidents, memorial services). It is your responsibility to ensure that the individual or his/or her family would like this information to be distributed to BYC members BEFORE sending this sort of post to the list.
*Crew-wanted notices for voyages of 200 miles or more
*Boating equipment safety recalls
*Important regulatory notices (e.g. vessel traffic restrictions)

*Crew wanted notices for daysailing
*Complaints about BYC, marina management, boating eequipment/services, or anything else
*Charitable and other events that unrelated to BYC or boating (including non-boating events in which BYC members are participating)

*"Personal" ads
*"For Sale" or "Wanted" ads (including boats and boating gear but not including official BYC sales)
*Personal correspondence among members
