Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm working on
a costume right now. I forgot how much time and
work there is to sewing sequins onto a bra! I haven't
even begun the skirt, but I have a feeling it is going
to be awesome. I have Panta
Rei to thank for
featuring the wonderful link for costume patterns! I look
forward to showing it (in a picture, of course) to my
online friends.

Much love and happy
dancing,
Sahreiah
Dear Artisitica,
thank you very much for your
kind welcome.
I started late with ME-Dancing though
this was my wish since I was a child (12? 13?).
Now
I take regular lessons since 10 months, many
workshops and seminars here in Italy, was on stage for one
real performance, and do (non-solo) dancing in
restaurants and night-clubs all the times it happens. Nice to
be here.
Tanja in Italy
I'm sure you look spectucular in costume,
Sahreiah, I too can't wait to see more pictures.

I
also welcome Tanja-Italy (Gael), I think it's very
couragous for you to stand up and publicly express your
love for Middle Eastern Dancing. You're welcome here,
Gael!

Artisitica
(Panta Rei)
Oh my "Sahreiah" what a pretty picture and I can
hardly wait to see you in costume :-)! And to answer a
previous post either here or on another List, I think your
picture and homemade costume are very cute...Xandra_8!

Thank you! I posted my own pic in the 'Members' album, but I am not in costume
(it's one of the decent pics I have of myself). I hope to post more (hopefully
in costume).

Hugs,
Sahreiah
You're welcome to post photos, Sahreiah, I've
created a few directories: one for photos of members,
another one for group photos, troupe performances and
other events. There are also directories for costume
photos, belts, bras, jewelry and accessories.

You're welcome to start a new directory if you have
interesting photos that don't fit in any of the above! Say,
you want to post a photo of a bellydancer friend who
isn't a member, you could start a new directory, e.g.
called 'other bellydancers' or something like
that!

Happy dancing!
Panta Rei
~ ~ ~
Thanks for the sacred 'props', Panta Rei! And I'll be glad to add my website
and OneList email community on the Links Page of this Yahoo! Bellydancers Club.
~ORYX~
Dearest Panta Rei!

Thank you for the warm
welcome. I look forward to sharing and exploring with
fellow dancers. I don't have a photo of myself in
costume, but I could post one or two, if that is
alright.

Again, thank you and happy dancing!!!

Sahreiah
Hi, My name is Levanah (Elizabeth), and I live,
work and dance in NYC. Just joined this group.
I
need to learn more how to get started with
this
and to create a profile.
Feel free to say hello to
me.
Thanks. LEVANAH
levanah99@...
EALREV@...
Hi Oryx and Sahreiah, thanks for posting and
introducing yourself! I hereby welcome everyone who has
joined recently, great to see you all here!

I
hope that more of you will try and post a photo here -
just click on the Photos link at the top left and
follow the prompts to post your photo! You are also
welcome to post links to your sites or put events on the
calendar!

Happy dancing!
Panta Rei
My given name is Cory, but when I am dancing, I
am called Sahreiah. I've been dancing for a short
time (7 months) and enjoy every minute of it.

I
dance when the mood hits me like a bolt of lightning
from the heavens. That is when I feel most beautiful,
sexy, and womanly. The power that I have in my hips
still surprises me!!! I haven't danced in public yet
(except for classes, friends, and family), but I can
hardly wait for that day when I am bursting with so much
feminine and sensual energy, I have to share it with the
rest of the world.

I am interested in getting
in touch with other dancers in New York City to
exchange ideas and help make costumes. There is a great
source for classes and dance related services in the New
York Metro area: http://bellydanceny.com/

I
look forward to making online connections as
well.

Peace, love, light, kisses, and shimmies
Cory a.k.a.

For those who haven't already checked my Yahoo!
Profile Club page, I please ask you to do so. Because
there you'll find a link to my website and my email
community. And by doing this you'll get to know me alot
better. Still have questions? Then email me, so I may be
able to get to know you better as well!
Sensu-spiritually yours, ~ORYX~
Hey, thanks! It was a great event to dance at,
and the photo ops were the greatest. I have a picture
of some of us from the troupe I was with
(Arkadas)also, perhaps I'll post that one and some other shots
from my photo gallery....
An alphabetical list would be what I'm looking
for; I'm trying to make cartouches for my cats ( and
me) but I am making a shrine in my backyard dedicated
to Bastet, and to the wonderful pets I have lost
over the years.
Do you just need simple words/signs? If so, I can
probably tell you the signs you need. I've also got a half
decent basic alphabetical chart, which you might find
useful! Email me, at nefer_t@...!!
Wow, Dejah, you look fantastic! What a great composition, the lights, the
flowers at the background, your arms stretched out, wow, and what a magnificent
costume!!!!
Hello,
Could I suggest you contact an old
friend of my Mum & me, Hilary Thacker. She is Edinburgh
based but also works in Glasgow and Selkirk. If anyone
can help, she can. She also does mail order teach
yourself videos, costumes and accessories. By the way
Artistica, has your daughter joined my club as well, if so
what is her name?
HILARY'S WEB ADDRESS IS

target=new>http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/paristeenagebellydanceclub
I
have been dancing for about 3-4 years now,
my Mum is a profressional bellydancer and teacher,
and I am trying to encourage more girls of my age to
take up bellydance as a beautiful and enjoyable Art
form, which is great fun and really keeps you fit. My
Dad is a musician (retired folksinger) now playing
Oud and Doumbek. It's nice to meet other dancers. My
club is in fact open to All ages. (we have a couple of
non teenage dancing members who are really welcome
and capable of passing on tips and advice and a
different view of the Art. Hope to see alot more of you
all.
Happy wiggling, Pari
