hello george this is neil stock ruby murrays eldest i live in wilstshire now dont remember much about the club trip in the fiftys but i do remember going to shieds it always rained

[Bearpark] The Club Trip!


Does anyone remember going on the Club Trip or the Buffs Trip in the
50s to the seaside? Getting on the train from Ushaw Moor station or
going on a bus. South Shields, Redcar, Seaton Carew. Getting changed
in to your trunks on the sands in one of those striped tents that you
had to put up and weight down with sand in the pockets. Us kids
watching all the older ones and mams and dads playing "Hum Dum Dum"!
Wonderful times!

I'm sure that Paul Cloughs website(Ushaw Moor) has a picture of Bearpark's Club trip boarding a train at Ushaw moor station. Sounds alot better than club trips...
