Welcome to this forum for discussing hiking & coordinating hikes in and near the San Francisco Bay Area. Please feel free to post or ask about hiking, backpacking, any activity that helps others to more safely & completely enjoy the outdoors via perambulation.

Discussion of points farther afield (but accessible from the Bay Area - for example, the Sierra or the Klamaths) is also welcome.

This is a forum for finding hiking partners and setting up group hikes.

We very much like to say what this group IS about. It's about hiking!
It is NOT about promoting products or promoting travel in areas outside the Bay Area. If you have a post that is unrelated, please respect the members who want to hear about hiking in the Bay Area.
