We are a babywearing group for the DC, Maryland and Virginia Metro Area. At this time, we have three to four monthly meetings around northern Virginia, with plans to expand our meetings to cover Maryland and DC. All are more than welcome to our Virginia meetings as we work to grow and meet the needs of our members in Maryland and DC.

This group is for maintaining the calendar only. You will receive updates on when and where meetings are held.

We currently have a regional hosted forum at www.thebabywearer.com (TBW). The latter is where most of the carrier advice, trouble shooting, and local chat take place, as the volume in our inboxes got quite high in the yahoo group when chatting was there.

To join the TBW local forum for DC-MD-VA, you need to:

1. Go to the TBW home page (www.thebabywearer.com)*
2. Click the top button for “Forum”(third button over on the top)
3. Then under the top heading “The Babywearer.com Forums”, you will see in the top left hand corner “User C-P” (stands for “User Control Panel”). Click on that.
4. Click on the left hand side, “Group Memberships”, it’s under Miscellaneous.
5. Scroll to User Group “NINO DC-MD-VA” and click the circle saying “Join Group.”

You will be approved shortly thereafter. The TBW website does require you to register a username. There must be only one username per person. There is no charge; registration is just for the site owners’ protection. For your own personal security it is probably best not to use any combination of your real first and last names, and rather, think of an appropriate “nickname.”
