This web-based support network is sponsored by HAHSA (Homeschool Association of Harford & Surrounding Areas). HAHSA is a local, inclusive parent-led homeschool community which offers a wide array of social and academic opportunities for families in Central and Northeast Maryland and surrounding areas. As part of HAHSA’s community outreach program, this free service is provided openly to all homeschoolers (membership in HAHSA is not required).
BaHaCeHS exists to create an online forum to share resources, ideas and support among the homeschooling community. This group has become a conduit for sharing information about the many wonderful opportunities available to homeschoolers in the area to include the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. This geography lends itself to an amazingly wide array of fantastic and unique experiences for our children to expand their learning.
BaHaCeHS is an inclusive, open forum of homeschooling families - many of whom belong to other specific homeschooling groups and umbrella programs. We are proud that our membership consists of a wide variety and broad range of religious and homeschooling philosophies. We expect every member to model tolerance and demonstrate respect to each other and focus our energy on supporting each other in our homeschooling efforts.
We have a large pool of knowledge, experience and expertise within our membership. Each homeschool family is unique, just as each child is unique. By joining the BaHaCeHS group, each member has access to wealth of resources and can tap into the community for advice and input. There are so many different thoughts and perspectives about teaching our children – each of which has much to offer.
