If you are referring to CP 9199 it is not a Mars light, but yes the beacon is on the roof of the A end only.

Acually the CP rdc's used the Pyle Gyralite NOT a mars light. A mars light flashes in an "M" pattern. A gyralite uses a 360 degree rotation of the rear mirror....
