Troop 260, Boys Scouts of America officially began in April of 1986. It is sponsored by Central United Methodist Church, Decatur, Alabama. The troop welcomes scouts and interested boys ages 12 to 18. The troop meets every Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at Central United Methodist on the 3rd floor in the Education building (in the scout room). Adult leaders meet the 2nd Monday of each month on the second floor. The troop has very active educational and outdoor programs and it has been heavily involved in community service work. All interested boys of scout age and adults interested in becoming scout leaders are welcome.
