Peter,

Have you downloaded HTMLPages.zip and unzipped into the HTML folder?

The files have .txt extensions - although they contain html, they are not complete web pages, but templates that are used by the code.

Hi John, all

I downloaded the 6.0.0.76 file today but when I run it I get errors.

Can`t find, Messages, Users, Forwarding ?

I think it is a browser thing because it looks ok over the Lan and
appears to be running correctly.

Any clues ?

Regards ..... Peter

John, I installed  BPQ32 ver 6.0.0.76 – no problems.

What I’m curious about is, in my HELP directory there are other files which don’t appear in your latest zipped HELP directory  … I renamed the files which were still in my HELP directory, restart BPQ32 and see that BPQ32 still runs without any apparent hassles ..

Does that mean that every time you supply a zipped HELP directory file, we can basically delete our current HELP directory and replace with the contents of your zipped file ??

Making it monthly would be easy enough, but a breakdown by type would need more work. I'll look into it.

For me, they just appear as files in the bpq directory. IE...

Hello to the group,

I have not a solution, but I want to say that I have the same problem with
linking nodes. I hear the other side, there are connections between my and the
other node, but if I want to connect, I get a Link failure. Even so, the other
node is not listed in my broadcast. There seems to be a link between the nodes,
but that's all, I can't connect the other side.

I try many options, TCP-IP options (master/slave), other UDP-ports, connect my
PC direct to the internet without a router and so on, nothing seems to work.

73,

Roland.

Hi Roland
the problem i had with G7ICD-7 has been resolved and all is working well.
he gave me the wrong Map address it was missing one character
it was jimspc not jimpc.

re your problem, most of the time when you get a link failure
it means the other station has lost its connection to your node or
vice-versa,yours has lost it connection.

try linking to my bpq

With all the traffic about the LinBPQ (in which I am also interested) what is the current version for Windows BPQ? 5.2.9.1? or other?

I presume the discussion about the web interface only applies to LinBPQ? Is this in the plan for Windows?

Ok, Dave.

There isn''t much documentation about it - just a mention in the release notes.

To enable it add an HTTPPORT=nnnn to the Telnet Server config (or add a telnet server if you don't already have one defined)

Then connect to 127.0.0.1:nnnn with a web browser. There are pages to display various node tables, and a terminal.

John,

Thanks again. Was able to get right in. Intuitive and works well.

This type of access brings to mind a requirement I have been attempting to resolve. I have a need to remotely update the Telnet USER and AXIP MAP lists. The nodes are located in places where access is extremely difficult. I have been attempting to use HSMM-MESH and a Remote Access tool to edit the BPQ configuration file and then activate them. This works but if the path quality degrades then the Remote Access stalls.

I understand and use the Reconfig options from the various BPQ menus but is there a way to force a Reconfig remotely? A hidden command? other?

I will appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks again, I will put the web interface to use.

John,

Thanks again for the prompt reply.

I have completely missed the Windows Web interface. Please point me in the right direction.

I sometimes have a problem with things hiding in plain sight...

I really appreciate all the work you do.

Dave,

The latest Windows version is 5.2.9.1. A new one should be out soon.

The Windows code has had a Web interface to the node and aprs features for a while now. The Web interface to the BBS and Chat will be added eventually.

Gentlemen,

With all the traffic about the LinBPQ (in which I am also interested) what is the current version for Windows BPQ? 5.2.9.1? or other?

I presume the discussion about the web interface only applies to LinBPQ? Is this in the plan for Windows?

Just want to make sure I did not miss something.

Is the only thing I would need to consider giving up is WINMOR if I went 100% Linux…???

Just about to that point..

This will be very useful to add a user interface on legacy packet to
HSMM-MESH (NW-MESH here.) I'd buy you (John) a pint of encouragement
but I wouldn't want to slow progress...

Dave,

The Windows version has two SYSOP-mode commands, RECONFIG and REBOOT. The Linux Version has RESTART, which actually just shuts LinBPQ down, and expects the OS to restart it (for example by using INIT).

The Linux version, and the next Windows version have a way to connect to a shell/cmd session over the network. This allows editing of config files. Packet links are really too slow for screen editors, but a line based edit is feasable (anyone remember EDLIN?)

73, Dave.

You cant use my APRS mapping, but there are other programs that do the same job. LinBPQ doesnt at the moment support KAM or AEA Pactor modems, but will when I have the time to test them.

John,

I did not see those commands in the SYSOP command list. Thanks again for your prompt response. I will check this out.

Yes, I remember and hate EDLIN. Is that a sign of age? You really are doing a lot to support us and our activities. I will be interested in the shell session when it is available.
