Good day!!

I believe "Routes, Nodes, Ports, Links, Users, Stats" are built into the code...

Just to explain a bit better, John W4JML and I are having a problem
trying to get the
Scheduled Task setup to re-run the APRSWW.EXE in (W7 Only), for users of
BPQ-APRS
Send File for UI-View Compatible WX File and Weather Watcher.

I setup the scheduled task but it does not save the task, I go back to
view the
Task but it is always gone, has anyone had any experience with the
scheduled tasks
In W7 32 bit?

It does work fine on XP

John

I found the problem, Winpack is on my test machine with BPQ32, bpq32.cfg
on
The test machine is a copy from the packet machine, on the test machine
I
Used N9PMO as the Winpack BBS application call, so stations were
connecting
via AXIP to N9PMO (FBB on the Packet computer) but also were connecting
to
Winpack, when a connection to N9PMO was made, it would open the Winpack
Terminal window automatically, I just added a unused SSID to the Winpack

application call, problem solved.

Another note, I notice that FBB 7.00i Monitor window no-longer monitors
the
FBB beacon sent but does show in BPQ Monitor, when you changed the
TFWIN.DLL
Or its copy bpqded32.dll did you make a change to stop FBB monitor
window from
Monitoring the FBB beacon?

It also looks like it is no-longer monitoring supervisory frames ether?

INITTNC1.sys as follows:
O 4
C MAIL
T 50
U 0
N 10
M IUSC
@255 1 1 < with or without no difference

The last line @255 1 1 mask does not seem to have any affect, in earlier
versions of BPQ32
The last line had to be there for the monitor window to show anything?

John

The new .EXE solved the problem with the cmd: but when ever a station
polls
Or connects to the BPQ node, it automatically brings up the Winpack
terminal?

Yes Joel, The application call bpq32.cfg is where I added the SSID N9PMO
> N9PMO-3
So one would have to use the BBS command or C N9PMO-3 in the switch

Sorry for the delay in response.

At first glance, this seems to be working very well. At the main prompt in
WinPack, I can type 'c 1 mon7nc' (a node that is RF only), and it connects right
through!

I'll play around with it some more this evening, but it looks to be good.

Robby where you have the SCSPactor port setup you should have a CONFIG line.
Below the CONFIG line I have
RIGCONTROL COM4 9600 KENWOOD TS-570D 4 "your freq."/U "your freq."/L and so
on. Add your frequencies in place of "your freq." looks like this 3.500/L
3.600/U with /U or /L for upper or lower side band. You may have to change the
com-port and speed for your setup.

If you have the 857 connected to the rig control port of the PTC, see the section "Rig Control Port" in http://www.cantab.net/users/john.wiseman/Documents/SCSPactor.htm

I have a requirement where I want the BPQ node to only "Speak when spoken to." I wish to eliminate all node broadcasts. The node does not need to communicate with any other node in the network. There are three applications defined with their unique callsign-SSID. I have made the following assignments in BPQ configuration:

NODE=0
NODESINTERVAL=0
IDINTERVAL=0
BTINTERVAL=0

The node accepts connections to the defined applications and operates normally. I note I can also return to node commands by exiting an application with a "Return To Node" command.

When BPQ startups with the new configuration, it sends a node broadcast to each of the four defined ports with the "FROM" field blank. The node then continues to send node broadcasts to two other BBS systems in the area and also appears to respond to node broadcasts from other nodes.

Is there a way to stop the node from sending and responding to these node broadcasts.

This is a requirement to reduce channel clutter and to help address a random interference problem.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi,

You dont have to do anything special to allow both ports to connect to the BBS, A connect to the BBSCALL on either port will work.

When forwarding out, the specify the port to use as part of the connect script.

Mike,

Thank you. Made the changes and all node broadcasts have disappeared with the exception of one. This is a significant improvement.

Every two minutes the node sends a broadcast to my second BBS node. I have not been able to make the changes to the second node yet.

The second node is linked for CHAT. To my knowledge, the second node is the only other BPQ node to which I can connect. I have tried turning the NODE on/off and disabling CHAT in MailChat but it does not seem to make any difference.

There are no broadcasts to or from the ROM-based nodes in the valley.

Is this a BPQ quirk or is there something else I need to set. Do I just live with it?

Howdy Gang,

Is anyone here on BPQ a X1J4 Expert as I have a question about the HOST
mode.

We are attempting to hook up a Kantronics KTU with Weather Node Firmware to
a Paccomm Tiny II with X1J4. All settings in the KTU are correct and it is
connected to the Serial DB 25 pin port with the proper cable from the KTU.

We have host on in the Tiny II but it returns Host Table Full when HOST is
called via packet. We are trying to access the KTU and it will return a
wxn: so we can display the weather it has stored.

The KTU works just fine hooked to a Kantronics TNC serial port with version
8.2. I can log in and it hooks up to the KTU and I can display the Weather,
make changes, etc.

Anyone have any ideas about how the host mode in a Paccomm Tiny II with X1J$
needs to be setup to access a device (Kantronics KTU with WeatherNode
firmware) hooked to the rs-232 db-25 pin port.

This will have indoor/outdoor temperature readings on our packet
node/repeater site on Mt. Belmont at 7,330 feet. We like the KTU as it store
data for about two months.

Thanks Bill K7MT
