This group is dedicated to reading and sharing comments on those novels that tend to be problematic due to length, in other words, Big Fat Books. In general, a Fattie will exceed 600 pages or will be comprised of multiple volumes that together exceed 600 pages.
The selections for BFB_Readers are being coordinated with the Literature Study Group and the Asian Literature Readers group to provide maximum flexability for readers that are looking for more in depth coverage of an author or a topic. For each three month period a topic or author will be selected for reading (4-6 titles), an Asian country or area for reading (4-6 titles) as well as a Big Fat Book and an alternate. Reader's suggestions are welcome and solicited but there is no formal process for nominating and voting on the quarterly selections. The three groups will be kept separate on Yahoo but will merge at the web site A Celebration of Reading .
