Welcome to the Barksdale AFB Homeschool Group

The BAFB (Barksdale Air Force Base) Homeschool group is here to serve, support, and encourage homeschooling military families stationed at Barksdale AFB.

Many activities are offered that include field trips, sports events, educational activities, group socials and parties. You are welcome to join the group at any time during the year.

Mission Statement

1.) To support one another as we home educate our children with respect towards each others individual beliefs and the many facets of the military lifestyle.
2.) To provide a framework in which relationships may develop between homeschooling parents, giving them opportunities to experience mutual encouragement and to learn from one another as they share concerns and ideas relating to parenting and homeschooling.
3.) To provide a means for our children to gain a positive identity as homeschooled students and to provide opportunities for their social and academic enrichment.
4.) To promote a positive image of homeschooling in the surrounding community.

Membership

Membership is annual (September - August). There is a membership application that will need to be completed and typically, we have a Back-to-School event in August to start off the school year.
