Description

The purpose of this group is to exchange information about doing DIY and hobby electronics in the San Francisco Bay area.

Anything that relates to DIY/hobby electronics is on-topic, including parts sources, projects, clubs, events, and education.

People who only do it for recreation are welcome, as are people who do it as a small business, or work in electronics but still do it as a hobby as well.

Musical instrument amplifiers, robotics, ham radio, Burning Man projects, marine electronics, automobile electronics, circuit bending, it's all welcome if you do it yourself.

Re: Help!
Thank you all for the suggestions. Erik's idea for the resisters is fantastic. I had nightmares about multiple parts boxes and still not finding anything.

Re: Help!
Similar bins are also available at Harbor Freight (cheaper versions), Excess Solutions (used, often already stocked with random stuff), and Big Lots (cheaper).

Re: Help!
... This is the type of cabinet most people use for through-hole parts: http://www.frys.com/product/3602985 For SMT, other options are probably better.
