The Freecycle™ concept is simple: you have something you no longer need (a couch, a crib, a CD) and you wish to "recycle" it rather than throw it in the landfill. Residents of Avon, CT and nearby communities can post notices on Avon Freecycle™ about items they'd like to give away. Items must be free, and must meet our objective of helping the environment by cutting down on waste going into landfills.
We do have a few rules that you must follow in order to participate in the online group, so be sure to read those before posting your first message. (You'll get a summary by e-mail when you join the group, and a copy is kept in the Files section.)
New members must confirm their memberships before being allowed into our group. Watch your email inbox after signing up for instructions.
