Secular in nature, ARGH (Autodidactic Radical Gathering of Homeschoolers) is a gathering by and for unschoolers of all ages which takes place in the Tri-Cities Tennessee region of the U.S. This organic event relies on the participants to create the activities, making every event completely unique.
This group exists to support the gathering and help participants organize and discuss options prior to each event. We will post everything we are willing to share or would like to see happen at each event and plan around those interests.
Past topics have ranged from round table discussions about unschooling and gentle parenting to knitting, turkey roasting, cob building, swing dancing, games and much more. Since this is about being an autodidact, almost anything is possible!
Connecting with other's interested in unschooling and the whole-wide-world helps build community, enrich our learning experiences, develops new friendships and encourages a lot of FUN! The intention is to keep costs very low, so everyone can attend easily.
Join us in the beautiful Appalachian mountains and share your passions, while learning about other people's passions. We welcome anyone and everyone that is open to the idea of self-education and mindful parenting. Wherever you are in the journey, we hope you will find inspiration and encouragement here.
Our next event is the 2010 spring gathering which will take place sometime in March or April. All details will soon be available in the "links" or "database" section of this site.
