This group is for metalworkers, modlers and the like in
the Austin Texas area interested in meeting one another.

We're still sorting out who's who and what's what. So
far it seems this is "just" a hobby for most of us. At
current count the accent in the area appears seems to be
modeling trains, steam engines and such. But we have
a smattering of tinkers, RC nuts, CNC and such.

Membership is moderated to keep the spam and 'bots out and
because, while we don't *require* you to be in the Austin
area, most of our chatter is less about "how to" and more
about the where-when-why-and-how of meeting face to face.
So there's not much here to entertain non-locals.

If you want to join, please say where you're at and, if
you're not at least semi-local, why in the world you'd
want to subject yourself to our chatter. :)
