This webgroup is for Army Security Agency and INSCOM veterans of Second OPS Battalion who served at Field Station Augsburg on Gablingen Kaserne. This group was started as a way to share stories & photos, keep in touch, and find old friends. This group is for those of us who were there generally in the mid-70's thru the mid-80's. The site includes over 4000 photos of people, Augsburg bases, Bavaria and past 2nd OPS reunions. Over 45,000 messages have been exchanged between the 680+ Second OPS veterans who reconnected after the group was started in Feb, 2005.

The group held a 3-day Reunion in Las Vegas in April, 2006. The Main Event was held at the Hofbrauhaus. 74 veterans attended plus many family members. Over 40 mini-reunions have taken place since. The Second Annual Reunion - Oct 26-28, 2007 was held in the Washington, DC suburb of Alexandria, Virginia. 80 veterans attended the events, and with family about 120 attended the Reunion Night Dinner. The 3rd Annual Reunion was held in Pensacola Florida June 20-22, 2008 and 55 veterans attended along with about 60 family members.

The 4th Annual 2ND OPS Reunion will be October 9-12, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. Over 130 veterans say they plan to attend. Book rooms at the Holiday Inn Downtown Market Square --

We seek former veterans of 2nd OPS for the webgroup. To join, you must have worked at Gablingen Kaserne and had an ASA or INSCOM MOS (05K, 05H, 98C, 98G, 05D,...) appropriate for the OPS BN's based at Field Station Augsburg.
