This webgroup is for Army Security Agency and INSCOM veterans of Second Operations Battalion who served at Field Station Augsburg on Gablingen Kaserne. This group was started as a way to share stories & photos, keep in touch, and find old friends. This group is for those of us who were there in the mid-70's thru early 80's. The site includes pictures of or links to over 7000 photos of people, Augsburg bases, Bavaria, Europe, and other ASA and NSA stations). Over 35,000 messages have been exchanged between the 550+ 2nd OPS vets who have reconnected since the group was started in Feb, 2005.

The group held a 3-day Reunion in Las Vegas in April, 2006. The "Main Event" was held at the Hofbrauhaus. 76 veterans attended plus many family members. Over 20 mini-reunions have taken place since. The Second Annual 2ND OPS Reunion - Oct 26-28, 2007 was held in the Washington, DC suburb of Alexandria, Virginia. 81 veterans attended the events, and with family about 120 attended the Reunion Night Dinner. The next major reunion will be in Pensacola Florida June 20-22, 2008 and an early survey indicates it'll be another popular and well attended weekend.

We are tenaciously seeking former veterans of 2nd OPS to the webgroup. To join the group, you must have worked at Gablingen Kaserne and had an ASA or INSCOM MOS (05K, 05H, 98C, 98G, 05D,...) appropriate for the OPS Battalions based at Field Station Augsburg.
