Re: [Attac-UP] Re: Time to ATTAC in the US of A!!!!!!!!!
That sounds good to me, but how do you plan on doing so.Do you have any ideas about how and where to start? In order to be able to establish contacts with European activists, we need to have an actual active group. If yu have any ideas or know other people who might be interested in it, let them know.
Also next time I will attach my friend's ( who I talked about in my last mail) e-mail address at his convenience.
Best regards

Most people have focused interests in some aspects of any "issue" but come together for the mutual support of a group, so that's hardly surprising.
My interest in ATTAC came from reading Susan George's articles and books, and looking for some way of establishing contacts with European globalization activists.

I don't have any connections with the European ATTAC, but I looked ATTAC France up on the Internet. I would like to send you the website, but it is in French. They listed many topics they are interested in. I am only interested in some of them ( education, migration and immigration, Taxation, inequalities, environment
I do know a friend who has connections with ATTAC France and some other countries. I will ask him for more information.
thanks

That makes three, at the very least!
Does anyone have connections with the European ATTAC organization? as I understand it, the origins of the group involved the so called Tobin tax and third world debt forgiveness. Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't heard much talk about this of late, and some of the major debtors seemed to have worked their way out from under the clutches of the IMF. Which appears to be having problems of its own with finding a mission. :-)
What are your interests; what would you like to see this list involve itself with? I work with a NYC based group that focuses on Central & South America. And you?
Jim

I agree, Daniel. I'd like to get involved with ATTAC State-side, too, but there doesn't seem to be much of a movement over here. Any ideas? --- In Attac-UP@yahoogroup s.com, "Daniel Nicollet" <danielnicollet@ ...> wrote: > > Time to ignite, don't you think? > This group seems dead.
