And that makes four,
ATTAC Germany - where I have some connections - proposed in a recent press
statement the socialisation of the German respectively EU financial sector and
received a lot of attention.
I could try to get permission from them to translate this document in order to
circulate a modified version here in North America.
Here in Anglo-Saxon Canada there is no ATTAC movement; it seems, however, that
in Quebec there is an active group. At the moment Canada is only facing the
results of the recession in the USA, since 80% of our exports used to go there.
But recession looming here, too.
I live in Halifax/Nova Scotia where there is a critical mass to organise a
movement for a transformation of the current economic system. I am involved in
an undogmatic, socialist group.
BTW: there is also an ATTAC facebook group which could be used as a tool for
organising North America.
